Our first app
Astrology for the people you keep up with.
You enter a birth chart for yourself and for a few people close to you. Family. A partner. A few close friends. The app reads the sky against those charts and writes about it in plain language. Then you can ask it questions.
The app’s public name is not final, so this page describes what it does instead. It is made for entertainment and self-reflection. It does not predict events and it does not give advice.
What makes this different from other astrology apps
Most astrology apps hold one chart and write one horoscope. This one holds a chart for you and for the few people whose days you keep track of. Everything it writes is about a specific person or a specific pair. Four things set it apart.
- It holds several people at once and writes about the space between any two of them. It never turns that into a compatibility score.
- The chart wheel is interactive and time-aware. A slider moves the sky twenty-four months forward or back and the wheel redraws. Touch any point and it explains itself in one sentence.
- A birth time can be marked unknown. The app then says which parts of the chart it cannot work out without one. It does not guess quietly.
- Two dials change how everything reads. One sets how direct the writing is. The other sets how much astrology vocabulary appears. Set it to plain and the technical terms leave the writing.
What it does
Everything listed here is built and running. Nothing on this page is a plan.
A note for the day
A short daily note for you and for each person in your circle. Each day gets a plain weather label. Smooth, mixed or stormy, drawn from the computed positions for that day. It labels the day, never the person. Quiet days are allowed to say they are quiet.
A chart wheel you can read
A hand-drawn wheel with four views. Today, Your chart, Elements and Houses. It opens on Today and shows one thing. A button shows everything at once if you want it. Touch anything and it explains itself in one sentence. A slider moves the sky two years forward or back.
Portraits of people
A longer read on one person, opening with what the chart does well. A reading about a child is written for the parent and reads like a teacher conference. It is never a diagnosis and never a ceiling.
The space between two people
Pick two people and get a sketch of the dynamic. What it gives each of them, where it catches, and how to work with the catching. There is no compatibility score. We do not think a score can hold that.
Conversation, not a wall of text
Every screen has a door into a chat that already knows which chart you were looking at. Ask a follow-up in your own words. Chats you do not keep clear themselves after about a day, and the app tells you which kind of chat you are in.
Dials instead of defaults
Two settings change how everything reads. How direct you want it, and how much astrology vocabulary you want to see. Set the detail dial to plain and the technical terms leave the writing. Light and dark are both there.
No jargon on the surface
Astrology borrows most of its words from geometry and most people do not want them. Inside the app the relationships between planets read the way you would describe people in a room. Meeting. Facing. Pulling against. Flowing with. Opening to. An empty stretch of chart is called empty, which is ordinary and not a lack. A month with nothing much in it says so.
Where the sky matters the app shows its work. One line naming the position it read. That is what makes a reading checkable. It is the smallest text on the screen, not the largest.
What it will not do
- It does not predict events. It reports where things are and writes about the mood of a day. It does not tell you what will happen.
- It does not give advice. Not medical, not psychological, not financial, not legal, and not about whether to stay with someone. It is instructed to decline when you ask it to make a decision for you.
- It does not tell you what you are. Its instructions forbid words like always, never, and not built for in anything it says about a person or a relationship.
- It does not keep score. No streaks, no badges, no counts, and nothing built to make you come back.
Limits
Astrology is not science and we do not present it as one. The app is for entertainment and self-reflection. Planetary positions come from a standard astronomical ephemeris and are as accurate as that data. Everything written around them is interpretation.
The writing comes from a large language model, Anthropic’s Claude, working from the computed chart data. It can be wrong and sometimes it is. Read it like a thoughtful stranger’s opinion, not a result.
The app changes as it improves. A reading you saw last month may read differently today.
