Delete your account in North 27’s astrology app.
You can do this yourself inside the app, in Settings. If you cannot get into the app, or you would rather we did it, email us and we will delete it for you. You do not need a reason either way.
Do it yourself in the app
- Open the app and sign in.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Open Delete everything.
- Enter your current password.
- Tap Delete my account forever. The button changes to ask again.
- Tap it again.
That is it. The account is gone when you tap the second time.
What gets deleted
Everything. Your account and login, every birth chart including the people in your circle, every chat and saved chat, every saved item, every memory note the app holds, and every reading, portrait, daily note and dynamic the app ever wrote for you.
It happens immediately and there is no undo. We do not hold the account for a grace period, we do not deactivate it instead, and we do not keep a copy of any of it.
One record is kept, and it is none of the things above: a row of counts — how many people were charted, how many readings and chats, how long the account existed and how many days it was used — plus the reason for leaving if you chose to type one. No name, no birth details, no chart, nothing anyone wrote, and not your email address but a scrambled one-way form of it, so that if you come back we know you have been here before. Section 13 of the privacy policy says exactly what is in it, and how to have it removed too if you would rather.
One thing to know, because we would rather say it than not. We keep backup copies of the database so an outage does not destroy people’s accounts. A backup is a snapshot taken outside the deletion process, so a copy of your data can still sit in a backup taken before you deleted, until that backup is replaced or destroyed in the ordinary course. It is not reachable in the app, it is not used for anything, and it is not restored except to recover from a failure. The privacy policy covers this in section 11.
Or ask us to do it
If you cannot get into the app, or you would rather we handled it, write to us from the email address on the account. Say that you want the account deleted. We will confirm, delete it, and tell you when it is done. Normally within 30 days and usually much sooner.
We will not ask for a reason and we will not try to talk you out of it.
Email to delete my accountDeleting less than everything
You do not have to delete the whole account to remove something. In Settings you can remove one person from your circle, and that removes everything the app wrote about them. You can delete a saved chat. You can delete any memory note. All of it is in the same place.
